The Adventure Begins –

Today begins an epic adventure as we embark on a worldwide journey to commemorate our (first?) retirements. After 35 years of professional work, we will celebrate over the next 21 weeks as we circumnavigate the globe, cross the international date line and the equator (twice), and travel more than 26,000 miles. This journey will encompass:

7 countries (USA, French Polynesia, New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, UAE, England),
2 cruise ships (Celebrity Solstice and Queen Mary 2),
27 days at sea,
4 ferries,
5 rental cars,
1 camper van,
14 plane flights, and
4 trains

We will miss our friends and family along with the comforts of home, but are excited for the new experiences, food, drinks, and cultures we will encounter. Hopefully, this will be the first of many new adventures in the retirement chapter of our lives.
