Cheerio from jolly old England! We had a relatively nice day here yesterday (cold but no rain), but today we are getting the full “January in London” experience!

Even so, it is great to be back in such a wonderful city. I spent a whole summer in England in college, and Rob and I came here for a long weekend a while back, and each time I come here I want to come again 😍. There is so much to see and do, only… not this trip. We are frantically trying to gather enough appropriate clothing for our upcoming cruise this weekend, and our “we’ll just pop into town and go to the thrift shops and pick up what we need” is proving a bit overly optimistic. After two full days of slogging around London’s “charity shops” and vintage stores, we STILL don’t have all we need and our shopping enthusiasm is donut (Rob started off low to begin with, so he is at negative numbers in the enthusiasm for shopping department).

Fingers crossed we can finish up when we hit Southampton tomorrow. We are taking the train there and meeting some friends for lunch on Saturday! Very excited about that- it’s been too long since we could say that phrase!
